Job Summary:

Are you ready to make a significant impact and drive global process excellence within the Quality organization? As an Associate Director in our team, you will be at the forefront of managing the GISQ transformation agenda, designing and delivering modernized portfolio reporting, overseeing all global processes, including Third Party Risk Management and Quality Common Processes, and drive financial accountability actions. This role is dedicated to enhancing our operational efficiency and ensuring we stay ahead in a competitive landscape. Key Responsibilities:

Third Party Risk Management: Oversee the assessment and management of risks associated with third-party vendors and partners. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to third-party risk.

Quality Common Processes: Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of global quality processes. Ensure that these processes are standardized across the organization and aligned with industry best practices.

Financial Accountability: Oversee the financial performance of the department, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensure that all financial activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Portfolio Reporting: Manage the portfolio of projects, ensuring timely and accurate reporting on project status, risks, and performance metrics. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on portfolio analysis.

Metrics and SLAs: Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. Implement corrective actions when performance deviates from targets.

Operational Excellence: Drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to a team of professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop team members to achieve their full potential.

Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, business units, and external partners. Ensure effective communication and collaboration across the organization.

Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of the department's strategic plan. Align operational activities with the organization's strategic objectives and priorities.

Basic Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, pharmaceutical-related field of study.
  • 3+ years of experience in a managerial role, with strong experiences in financial accountability, portfolio reporting, and metrics management.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to third-party risk management and quality processes (specifically related to Computer System Validation). Ability to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.


Additional Preferences:
  • Global Experience: Experience working in a global environment and managing cross-functional teams across different regions. Previous experience executing with Lilly Quality Systems (deviations, analytical investigations, change, and / or complaints).
  • Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong skills in stakeholder management and engagement. Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, business units, and external partners.
  • Innovation and Creativity: A track record of driving innovation and implementing creative solutions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in leading large change management initiatives and driving organizational transformation. Ability to manage resistance and ensure smooth transitions during process changes.
  • Proven experience with strategic thinking and the ability to align operational activities with the organization's long-term goals and objectives. Experience in contributing to the development and execution of strategic plans.
  • Cultural Competence: Ability to work effectively in a diverse and multicultural environment. Understanding of cultural differences and ability to adapt communication and management styles accordingly.
  • Mentorship and Development: Experience in mentoring and developing team members. Ability to identify and nurture talent within the organization. Strong influencing, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$118,500 - $173,800

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
