The Associate Director of National Broadcast has mastered all of the skills of the Supervisor role and is additionally responsible for managerial input and decision making, as well as more senior client and vendor relationships. The Associate Director will work with the Group Director in setting priorities, allocating responsibility, and measuring performance of the National Broadcast team. Building upon the Supervisor role with regard to the interpretation of strategy through a broadcast lens, the Associate is also called upon to further develop the client and media owner relationships that will ultimately serve to enhance all aspects of the Broadcast team's deliverables.

Responsibilities

Managerial Rigor & A Relationship Building Focus
  • Without losing sight of ongoing client deliverables, the Associate Director is building upon their knowledge base by broadening and strengthening their business relationships beyond PHD
  • Along with Group Director, creates and maintains team dynamics with a focus on learning and innovation
  • Actively ensures strategic consistency across all elements of plan development and implementation

Relationship + Knowledge Cultivator
  • Proactively explore and recommend ways to further service and grow client relationships
  • Along with Group Director, manages large scale partner relationships to foresee future needs and provide client support
  • Provide thought leadership for the junior team in the areas of broadcast marketing and technology

Analytical Thinker
  • Create and articulate clear performance metrics and develop associated reports that measure KPI's
  • Analyze historical and current campaign results to optimize learning and ensure continuous improvement
  • Process and analyze competitive media activity in the marketplace

Team Focused
  • Oversee the buying & implementation of broadcast campaigns, coordinating internal resource, setting best practice, and working on planning frameworks


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Management Experience:
    • 3+ years in a management role; must be comfortable managing a team of several employees
    • Must love managing and leading a team of passionate and dedicated media professionals
    • Meeting with senior leaders to understand and facilitate client, agency and business requests
    • Understanding of client/agency finance process; client billing and employee hours/pacing against business scope
    • Must follow all agency process to support/push continued adherence to facilitate workflow and manage expectations
  • Media Experience:
    • 7+ years media planning and activation
    • Must have a strong understanding of the marketplace with regard to rates, buying models, negotiation and contract execution
    • Strong Partnerships experience across all of broadcast
    • Knowledge in DDS/MediaOcean, Prisma, etc. is non-negotiable
    • Must be proficient in media terminology, media math, and reach and frequency calculations

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.

Compensation Range

$70,000-$120,000 USD

This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
