Job Description

Associate director of Psychology will offer clinical supervision to psychologist seeking licensure within the department that spans Behavioral Health and Medical Services. Will serve as Site Director of Internship, orienting and managing day to day needs of the psychology Predoctoral Internship Training Program. Will work closely with the Director of Psychology and AT to manage operations, enhance clinical workflows and offer clinical services where needed.
  • Formulates and develops methods and procedures for monitoring, evaluating, and operating mental health programs and services in assigned areas of responsibility, throughout Behavioral Health Services and through the Integration of Psychological Services in Medical Settings
  • Monitors and coordinates review processes of assigned mental health services to determine if programs are meeting health care needs, objectives and goals established by the Mental Health Services Department
  • Participates in the development of policies, standards, rules and regulations pertaining to mental health services


Minimum Qualifications
1. Master's Degree in Public Administration, Public Health, Health Care Specialization, Social Work, Psychology or related field; and
2. Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in hospital or regulatory agency administration, with particular emphasis on development and evaluation of mental health delivery services; or
3. Possession of a valid license and current registration to practice in a mental health field issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
