Job Description:
This position contributes to the Company's success in managing the clinical and commercial supply chain of the Company's product portfolio through tactical aspects of the operations, including day-to-day management and executions strategies of operations planning, sourcing and procurement, capacity planning, inventory control, and contract management, with Director's oversight. Since the Company does not handle its own manufacturing, supplier management is an essential component to this role.

Job Description:
This position contributes to the Company's success in managing the clinical and commercial supply chain of the Company's product portfolio through tactical aspects of the operations, including day-to-day management and executions strategies of operations planning, sourcing and procurement, capacity planning, inventory control, and contract management, with Director's oversight. Since the Company does not handle its own manufacturing, supplier management is an essential component to this role.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Execute and oversee supply plan schedules for commercial and clinical supply aligned with demand forecast, vendor lead time, lot size, expiry dating, desired safety stock levels, and other designated business rules.
- Manages all Supply Chain purchasing responsibilities to ensure timely procurement of services or materials for third-party suppliers aligned to budget and business needs.
- Establishes cadence for periodic calls with all external suppliers to discuss current state of affairs and alignment on production plan.
- Manages domestic and international shipping coordination with brokers, freight forwarder, 3PL, and suppliers with Manager of Supply Chain.
- Leads Sales and Operations Planning discussions with cross-functional stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Clinical Development, and Manufacturing & Technical Operations for commercial and clinical supply planning to ensure production plan aligns with business needs and timelines.
- Manages all inventory planning, purchases, and movements in MRP system, providing management reports as requested.
- Maintains all documentation of inventory and logistic movements ensuring GMP compliance of storage and handling.
- Facilitates end-of-month inventory reconciliation with CMO, packager, and outside labs to ensure inventory and utilizations are accounted for and assess potential scrap, loss, or obsolescence.
- Perform end-of-year inventory counts at designated sites, as needed.
- Interacts with Finance team and external auditors in providing requested inventory documentation and explaining inventory movements.
- Analyzes data, control inventory, and creates dashboards and reports on KPI's to evaluate internal and supplier performance. Assesses business continuity thresholds around safety stock, shelf life, and secondary supply needs.
- Assists with annual insurance review for storage and freight.
- Work closely with Supply Chain manager to ensure execution of production plan at packager, on time delivery, inventory control, and no out-of-stocks.
- Works closely with QA on batch record releases for outbound shipping coordination
- Create and maintains SOPs and flow charts outlining all processes and procedures for GxP and non GxP functions.
- Business Process Owner/ Admin of Oracle MRP system
Required Qualifications and Skills
- BA/BS in supply chain, operations, business administration, or related field; MA or MBA a plus
- 8-10 years in Supply Chain logistics management including supplier management, transportation, planning, warehousing and distribution within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
- 2 years of Oracle MRP experience
- General understanding of FDA regulations, Quality Systems, and all GxP areas (GVP, GCP, GLP, GMP, GDP).
- Effective communicator with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong negotiations skills and ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Experience with ERP Systems, data analysis, KPI/Dashboard generation.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel a must), Oracle, and Adobe Pro
