Department-Specific Responsibilities
  • Manages the daily activities of Treasury Operations team members for both banking and revenue collection
  • Provides direction and guidance on day-to-day matters, strategic direction, and professional development
  • Maintains relationships with banks and other external vendors, and directs banking, electronic payments, credit cards, and other treasury operational activities
  • Creates and maintains dashboards to track metrics and statistics for banking data, credit card data, etc.
  • Conducts Treasury Operations review for External Agency relationships
  • Serves as a backup Money Mover, verifying bank transactions when regular Money Movers are unavailable
  • Holds regular site visit conversations with departments about credit card usage, bank account usage, and revenue collection
  • Reviews invoices to ensure accuracy, track variances, and ensure the correct general ledger documentation is created
  • Serves as a backup for managing/documenting the Revenue Producing Activity processes and approvals (FIN-TRE-120)
General Responsibilities
  • Directs the daily and long-term treasury operations of multiple organizational units or a multi-faceted department
  • Ensures the efficient, timely, and accurate processing of treasury tasks, including cash flows, cash payments, interest charges and earnings, liquidity measures, and other financial and cash flows metrics
  • Provides training and development and supervises lower-level treasury staff and first-level managers, providing guidance on highly complex issues
  • Develops, plans, and directs special projects; makes operational and strategic recommendations
  • Serves as a liaison to external funding sources and ensures organizational accounts and investments maintain compliance with applicable standards
  • Analyzes pricing for banking services to ensure the university receives competitive prices for treasury services
  • Regularly participates in developing and implementing policy and procedure changes for improved efficiency and alignment with strategic goals
  • Responsible for accuracy, timelines, and the general integrity of the treasury function
  • Presents to senior management, including trustees

EDUCATION

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field
Preferred
  • Master's degree
WORK EXPERIENCE

Required
  • 4 years' experience in relevant field
  • 1 year of management experience in relevant field
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES

Required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Preferred
  • CTP Certified Treasury Professional or
  • AAP Accredited ACH Professional or
  • APRP Accredited Payments Risk Professional

Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

The person in this role requires communication, coordination, and teamwork with peers across Treasury and the University.

Work Location

Bloomington, Indiana

This position is eligible to work a hybrid schedule (mix between remote and in-person work), subject to change based on university policy and business needs.

Advertised Salary

$88,000 - $93,000 per year based on experience"
