Eastdil Secured is seeking an Associate to join our equity team in our New York office. This role will focus primarily on Office, Retail, and Multifamily transactions. Responsibilities will include overseeing the underwriting process, creation and execution of marketing collateral, process execution, and providing hands-on training and oversight of a team of Analysts.

Essential Functions
  • Management of comprehensive real estate valuation and transaction structure analysis with support from team of Analysts
  • Financial underwriting, due diligence review and transaction execution
  • Independent production of pitches, proposals, and marketing materials
  • Development of investment theses based on extensive market knowledge, research, and analytics

Education Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate, advisory, or a combination of both
  • Prior work experience with institutional-grade office, retail, and multifamily assets is preferred

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
  • Advanced Excel and ARGUS financial modeling skills and strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analyses of real estate transactions with advanced underwriting techniques and deep understanding of equity and debt capitalization structures
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize real estate investment opportunities within the framework of relevant microeconomic and macroeconomic factors
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently produce high-quality work under tight time frames
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities to conclusion within agreed upon deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Quick and adaptable learner with the ability to grasp new concepts, tools, and processes rapidly
  • Committed team player who collaborates seamlessly with colleagues, supporting team goals and contributing to a positive, results-driven work environment
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Eastdil Secured requires each non-administrative exempt staff member to be licensed as appropriate in the respective region
