8:00am - 4:00pm
Job Description
Work with Directors of Service, Department Heads, and Ancillary Staff to develop and operationally support new clinical service lines/ Surgical offerings to meet facility vision and strategic goals
Analyze existing programs for process improvement and ensure adherence to established protocols for standards of care.
Work with Directors of Service, Department Heads, and Ancillary Staff to ensure that departmental standards, objectives, and protocols are adhered to in order to meet hospital, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory agency standards.
Monitor budget for each department within the Ancillary division to ensure proper finances and efficient operations.
Evaluate equipment purchases for Ancillary departments.
Manage administrative functions for the division, including employee/labor relations and grievances.
Participate in all pertinent meetings with other Senior Leadership members. (example TSS, EOCC, Products Standards, Infection Control, Linen, Amb Care)
Work to maintain a safe environment and positive experience for all patients and family members.
Attract, recruit, and maintain a high caliber of talented individuals for all Ancillary departments.
Represent Queens Operations in Queens, Central Office and outside organization committees
Manage special projects and perform additional duties as designated by the CEO or COO.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Hospital or Health Care Administration, Public
Health or a related discipline and five (5) years of high-level responsible experience in Hospital, Business, or
Public Administration or a Health Care Administrator in a position of direct responsibility for operations of a
major part or all of a, health care setting, including substantial exposure in meeting community health needs;
or
2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines, as listed in "1" above; and six (6)
years of high-level experience in areas as described in "1" above.
Department Preferences
Data analytic skills HICS structure Computer skills - Excel, word, PPT etc Strong interpersonal and written skills necessary to communicate with Doctors, Nurses, Administration, Unions, and all other stakeholders Thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of hospital organization, administration and standards, regulations and laws applicable to hospital operations, knowledge of business and human resources administration principles, management functions, management processes and functions of hospital departments, and ability to direct and supervise personnel
