Summary

We are looking for an ambitious, hands-on and proactive associate legal counsel to join our legal team. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys advising on and negotiating various commercial contracts, has a strong desire to learn and develop their negotiation skills as they grow within this role, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating various standard and non-standard contracts such as confidentiality agreements, evaluation agreements in support of the business needs and initiatives.
  • Managing the entire contract lifecycle of NDAs and the Evaluation agreements starting from initial drafting and negotiation to execution.
  • Provide legal support to the senior lawyers of the Legal Team with vendor agreements, marketing agreements and all channel partner agreements.
  • Work with internal key stakeholders on various topics including commercial terms and required contract approvals.
  • Identify commercial, legal and compliance risks arising from existing and contemplated commercial transactions and initiatives.
  • Monitoring legal, legislative and regulatory trends applicable to the business (i.e. data privacy, security and data protection laws).
  • Reporting matters as required to the Legal Director
  • Assisting with legal and compliance projects as requested.
  • Coordinating the signature process for all contractual documents.
  • Maintaining the filing of all contractual documents.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Law degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant legal experience in a similar role
  • Excellent written and oral, negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize high priority tasks
  • High level of attention to detail with excellent organization skills, and ability to work independently and also to be part of a team.
  • Prior in-house experience in a fast-paced environment working to tight deadlines
  • Experience in a high-growth technology company is a plus, as the ideal candidate will be adaptable and familiar with the fast-paced nature of the tech industry.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and a willing helpful attitude
