Position Summary

Our Global Credit business is looking for an Associate to sit with the Liability Management team. This Associate will have broad and diversified responsibilities focused on CLOs (BSL and middle market), CLO-related (strategic) projects, Marketing/IR related follow-ups, Credit Securitizations, Middle market/Direct Lending as well as Non-US mandates. This Associate will work closely with various Carlyle teams including: PM's, Trading, Investor Relations, Fund Management, Compliance, and Operations across the Liquid Credit and Direct Lending business in the US and abroad.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in CLO marketing and pricing and closing phases across structuring, rating agency negotiation, marketing materials production, and investor requests and DDQs
  • Working on CLO warehouse and ramp ramp-up process in coordination with internal and external parties
  • Working on various documentation issues with underwriters, investors and legal counsel
  • Coordinating Structuring processes within different areas at Carlyle US and abroad including: portfolio management, research, trading, accounting, fund management, etc,
  • Performing various financial analysis
  • Creating marketing presentations/materials with internal and external coordination
  • Working on data requests
  • Work on strategic CLO-related projects including investor proposals, updates, and RFPs, budgeting, forecasting, and stress testing
  • Helping on marketing/IR follow-ups


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-5 years of experience, ideally with prior exposure to CLOs
  • Experience organizing and conducting detail-oriented analysis
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Excel is expected, with comfort analyzing legal documents and knowledge of loan securitizations is a plus
  • Self-motivated
  • Possess finely tuned communication and presentation skills along with a strong academic record
  • Team-oriented approach who can work with all areas of Carlyle's Global Credit department


Benefits/Compensation

The compensation range for this role is specific to New York and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $150,000.

In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs. Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
