THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:
As Associate Manager of Performance Media, you will serve as a key member of the internal media team managing and optimizing paid media campaigns across various platforms to drive personalization at scale and achieve measurable results. Key focus areas include digital and social campaign management and optimization, testing and experimentation, data analysis, and achieving performance goals such as conversion rates, acquisition, and ROI.

This role requires someone who is highly organized, detail oriented, has excellent project management and communication skills to help continuously optimize the partnership between internal cross-functional teams and agency partners to drive Ulta Beauty's media program success and business objectives forward. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Media Strategy, this individual is responsible for championing performance media best practices to our marketing and creative teams that translate into exceptional media experiences for our customers.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Campaign management & optimization: Plan and manage paid media campaigns, with a focus on programmatic and social platforms. In partnership with the media agency, monitor and implement strategies to optimize campaigns for better results.
  • Data analysis & reporting: Collaborate with the media agency and internal cross-functional partners to track KPIs, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve campaign performance. Prepare regular reports on media performance with insights and recommended actions.
  • Budget management: Allocate, manage and track media budgets effectively, ensuring maximum ROI.
  • Testing and experimentation: Lead planning and testing recommendations to identify what works best and drive continuous improvement, with a focus on Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO). Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners to align on priorities, data strategy, test variables, measurement plans.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including personalization, creative, integrated marketing, data strategy, analytics, and the media agency.
  • Trends and best practices: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in performance marketing. Champion and socialize learnings and best practices with key stakeholders.
  • Processes and tools: Contribute to optimizing processes and tools to drive clarity and streamline ways of working with cross-functional partners, and drive adoption across teams.
YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:
  • Bachelor's degree in media, marketing, business, or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in performance media planning, preferably within social marketing, digital marketing, and/or retail
  • Must have experience in DCO, personalization, analytics, testing, data strategy, consumer journeys
  • A dual-brained thinker - strong analytics approach to data and measurement, and ability to extract relevant and actionable insights that drive business results
  • High attention to detail, exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously and stay organized
  • Must be able to work under time constraints and meet deadlines
  • Must have experience working in matrixed organization settings, collaborating with cross-functional teams and business units, and managing/influencing various external agency partners, as well as ability to work independently
  • Experience motivating partner teams, internal and external, towards shared goals, anticipating needs, and collaborative problem solving
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products

The pay range for this position is $77,600.00 - $103,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company's bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
