The Associate Director, Strategic Pricing, Forecasting & Contracting is responsible for developing and executing the forecasts for in-line and pipeline assets to appropriately set their market potential; the creation and development of pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability for the company's products. This role will also lead the assessment and coordination of the market dynamics, pricing trends, and competitive landscapes to drive informed pricing decisions through financial modeling and forecasting. This position requires a deep understanding and ability to model appropriate analogs for alternative pricing and revenue forecasting scenarios. This role engages closely with Finance, Gross-to-Net (GTN), Legal, Compliance, Market Access, Marketing and Commercial Ops to implement new contract strategies and develop robust reporting and modeling to support the strategic initiatives of the brand and specialty divisions of Amneal. The position will bear responsibility, along with Finance, for the timely and accurate processing and reporting of rebate and fees for branded and specialty products. They will be the primary owner of GTN from a contracting perspective and own the quarterly accrual process for all Specialty Brands. This position requires a deep understanding of and experience with the multiple National PBM and GPO data reporting portals as well as multiple TRX analytic third-party sources including IQVIA, SHS, Relay Health, etc. Additionally, the Associate Director, Strategic Pricing, Forecasting & Contracting will monitor pricing compliance, develop and implement appropriate product pricing strategies, define contract value/rebate pricing matrices, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management. This role will have responsibility for Amneal's brand & specialty portfolio.

Essential Functions:
  • Lead the strategic development and implementation of the branded & pipeline pricing, forecasting & contracting strategies for the Amneal Specialty portfolio, taking into account market conditions, competitive landscape, and product positioning. Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify pricing trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences. Analyze sales data, pricing models, and market dynamics to assess pricing effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Evaluate legislative policies that impact Amneal's brands, portfolio GTN impact, development of budget impact models and policy implication models, and impact on forecasting. Execute pricing and contracting tactical adjustments as needed. Responsible for in-line brand forecasting inclusive of selecting appropriate analogs, modeling revenue scenarios and GTN impact to inform strategic pricing and contracting decisions.
  • Develop Center of Excellence for tracking, reporting, and reconciling in accordance with customer rebate program requirements, in collaboration with Finance, to help ensure the timely and accurate contract administration of discounts, rebates and other fees, as well as GTN accruals monitoring. Maintain a data base of PBM rebate utilization for accurate GTN forecasting, quarterly accruals and Brand Forecasting / pricing decisions.
  • Develop best-in-class brand-specific value matrices that justify rebate values by customer segment, out-of-range exceptions, and impact by brand (pipeline and established products). Participate with team in identifying, analyzing, and defining strategy for Medicare Part D, Commercial, Medicaid, VA/DoD, GPO, LTC, and 340B segments. Create historical launch benchmarking to help build in-market pricing models to support decision-making with appropriate historical market context.
  • Develop Center of Excellence for contract modeling, contract modeling solution management / reference library and RFP/new business/ and pricing support for national and regional account teams, including monitoring contract performance, development of reporting dashboards, analog modeling and bid tracking. Provide recommendations on pricing decisions, including list prices, discounts, rebates, and contracting strategies, to maximize revenue and profitability. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to evaluate the impact of pricing strategies on market share and customer adoption. Evaluate effectiveness of contracting strategies and recommend adjustments to maximize performance.

  • Engage and align with key internal company stakeholder and external vendors.
  • Identify and assess business opportunities and risks through data and analytics.
  • Build and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders built on trust, transparency and communication across Marketing, Sales, Finance, as well as other US business operations teams.


Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in a business related function - Required
  • Master Degree (MBA) in a business related function - Preferred

Experience:
  • 10 years or more in Relevant experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries with a preference for prior industry brand , forecasting and pricing experience.
  • 5 years or more in Relevant experience in managed markets, access, healthcare-policy, payer, or pharma-industry

Skills:
  • Expertise in building business models with influence and impact, and experience working with government and commercial payers and PBMs as well as channel customers. - Advanced
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across diverse audiences and influence cross-functionally. - Advanced
  • Understanding of reimbursement methodologies applies by commercial and government payers under pharmacy and medical benefits. - Advanced
  • Analytical problem solver with business acumen. Able to evaluate key business drivers and develop clear solution recommendations. - Advanced
  • Ability to collaborate with IT, Commercial Ops, Finance, and others to drive best in class analytic solutions for efficiency, timeliness and accuracy. - Advanced
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deliver on critical business requirements to drive solutions that advance our pricing capabilities. - Advanced
  • Strong initiative with the ability to identify issues and create solutions. - Advanced

Specialized Knowledge:
  • Strong technical skills in applications such as MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS OneNote and other Microsoft Office suite tools, BTI, Model N, SQL, SAS.
  • Strong understanding of secondary pharmaceutical data sources (e.g. IQVIA Xponent PlanTrak, IQVIA Smart, NPA, MMIT, FDB, Medi-Span, Analysource, etc.).
