The Diablo Team is looking for an experienced engineering leader to help drive and direct how we build technology, support developers, and have a stable development infrastructure. We are seeking an Associate Technical Director to lead multiple teams of engineers in close partnership with other leaders in the franchise.
Most importantly, you must champion our technical mission, embody team values, and drive our teams to success.
This role is a hybrid work position, and the potential home studio of this role is Irvine, CA or Albany, NY.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $155,500.00 - $287,876.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Responsibilities:
- Define and set the technical direction for multiple sub-teams
- Direct execution of work into specific goals and action items
- Manage and develop leaders on the teams that you oversee
- Provide critical analysis of technology and development practices
- Contribute to the broader direction of the franchise and technology
- Work with production staff and leadership to gain insight into execution and improve it
- Coordinate with director level peers to steer technical teams to meet franchise goals
- Forge strong relationships between technical and creative disciplines
- Translate technical and creative requirements at both strategic and tactical levels
Requirements
- 5 years as an Engineering Manager or 3 years as a Sr. Engineering Manager
- An ability to mentor and grow technical leaders
- Able to work within an established code framework
- Proven ability to build technology from the ground up
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Shipping in a senior technical role on a large team
