As the AVP of Marketing for this innovative, forward-thinking, and student-centric university, you will be responsible for:
Summary of Responsibilities
Establish, assess, and drive the university's marketing master plan for optimum efficiency and effectiveness, including advising and supporting university leaders and their area's marketing issues, strategies, and opportunities. Ensure consistent branding for the university through all marketing channels, particularly digital channels and related contracted service vendors. Oversee members of the marketing team. Provide exceptional care, accountability, and results for all team members. Provide vision and leadership for the area, consistent with the university's mission as well as assisting the VP of Marketing & Communications with divisional leadership responsibilities and initiatives. Oversee the creation, development, maintenance, production, operations, and professionalism of UVU marketing, including the development and management of the area's budgets and expenditures to ensure appropriate resource stewardship and the highest impact and return on investment. Build internal partnerships to advance UVU's Vision, including those related to enrollment and retention, reputation building, fundraising, and community engagement. Consistently measure and evaluate marketing strategies to ensure greater efficiencies and impact; regularly report marketing results Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and experience in higher education marketing. Knowledge and experience in managing budgets and personnel-holding them accountable for performance while maintaining a positive and healthy work environment. Knowledge and experience in strategic marketing Knowledge in social media platforms and analyzing of data measuring impact.
Skills
Proficiency in popular social media platforms and can generate analytic data measuring its impact. Effective interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Demonstrated impeccable writing and communication skills required.
Abilities
Ability to demonstrate leadership, communication skills, commitment to diversity, and consensus building. Ability to interpret analytic data to make informed decisions and optimize returns on investment. Ability to build high-performing teams and foster an uplifting and positive team culture

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
- Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with either a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree in a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of recent experience in a related field within education, marketing, or communications in a strategic leadership role, including management of departments and programs.
- Master's and/or doctoral degree in a directly related field, along with management experience or equivalent experience in in-house/client-side roles.
