Job Description

The Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law seeks a dynamic and creative individual to plan, manage and execute all aspects of a comprehensive donor relations program. The program will ensure donors at all levels are engaged, recognized and stewarded for their philanthropic support of the College. This position reports to the Senior Director of Development ASU Law.

Working Environment

  • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.
  • Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
  • Regular activities require the ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
  • Evidence of effective communication to perform essential functions.
  • Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND six (6) years of related administrative experience, which includes three (3) years of supervisory experience; OR, Ten (10) years of related administrative experience, which includes three (3) years of supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Essential Duties

  • Create and administer graduated recognition system including communications, recognition items, named spaces, electronic recognition boards and personalized events to steward donors providing philanthropic support.
  • With colleagues in Marketing/Communications, write and publish communications recognizing important events and celebrations in the lives of donors to the college; donor profiles and announcements of philanthropic support.
  • Coordinate and prepare compelling reports for donors demonstrating the impact of their philanthropic support.
  • Together with colleagues in departments throughout ASU Law, plan, execute and manage aspects of donor engagement events including: Dean's Circle, Justice Prize, Scholarship Luncheon.
  • Manage the gift acknowledgement process that ensures timely and meaningful recognition of gifts are produced and received.
  • Tracking stewardship/recognition actions in Salesforce database including future stewardship actions to ensure strong relationship maintenance and future giving.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of donor relations strategies and tactics. Adjust program to maximize positive impact.
  • Physical presence at the workplace or the college is an essential function or requirement of this job
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals of the department and/or ASU
