This position acts in a leadership role, setting an ethical, technical, quality and leadership example for direct reports and colleagues. A manager is a CPA and is an integral part of the management team. The position of Manager is a technical position which functions to oversee and be accountable for all phases of the client engagement.

What you'll do:
- Will have primary client responsibility, and, in some cases, will oversee a specific area of client service.
- Responsible for the development and leadership of their direct reports and others.
- Projects and plans the timing of the workload for staff management; promotes the most efficient and profitable operation of the Firm.
- Possess knowledge of the Firms philosophy and be conversant with its reports and its letters relating to matters of policy.
- Makes broad decisions in the course of their work.
- Stays current on publications within the industry and understands their impact on clients.
- Manages multiple engagements and teams and responsible for coordinating with the Partner.
- Anticipates client needs and proactively shares relevant and timely information regarding economic or industry trends.
- Provides guidance to others and affirms conclusions made by others.
- Proposes outcomes to critical issues.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of professional standards/practices and applies knowledge in performing and supervising work.
- Conducts detailed review to assure engagement is completed in accordance with applicable firm policies and professional standards.
- Ensures each engagement is administered efficiently by developing budgets and proactively managing the hours spent by each engagement member.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required,
- 5+ years of public accounting experience
- CPA license required
- Working knowledge of GAAS, GAAP, and other professional standards and regulations
- Displays the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
