SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated Autonomous Guided Vehicle (AGV) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, controlling, and implementing AGV systems. This role requires a strong background in robotics, software systems and machine learning. The AGV technician will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our autonomous system.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive):

  • Project Management: Manage AGV projects from conception to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, mechanical engineers, and project managers.
  • System Integration: Integrate AGV systems with existing infrastructure and ensure seamless operation.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to AGV systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of designs, tests, and maintenance procedures.
  • Design and Development: Develop and design AGV systems, including hardware and software components.
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing and validation of AGV systems to ensure reliability and safety.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:

    • Solid foundation in computer science principles, programming languages, and critical thinking skills
    • Experience with robotics and automation systems.
    • Knowledge of sensor technologies (e.g., LIDAR, cameras, GPS).
    • Familiarity with AGV navigation and control algorithms.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills.


Education and Experience:

  • Education (Preferred not required):

    • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in AGV or related fields.
    • Proven history of successful AGV projects and/or development of innovative technologies.


Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
    • Ability to work in various environments, including warehouses and manufacturing facilities.

  • Mental Requirements:

    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
    • Elevated level of creativity and innovation.


Competitive Salary with a general salary range of $78,816.00 to $98,520.00 or higher depending on education and experience.
