A solid understanding of IEC 61131-3 programming standards is essential.

As part of our Automation Solutions Team, you will work alongside industry experts to deliver cutting-edge solutions to clients. Your expertise will contribute to modernizing industrial control systems, optimizing operations, and driving innovation. You will be responsible for developing and troubleshooting automation solutions for applications such as oil and gas skids, compressors, IIoT equipment, and large-scale control systems. This role includes traveling to client sites to support system design, implementation, and project execution across industries such as renewable energy, wastewater management, data centers, and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
- System Design: Develop control system architectures, select appropriate hardware, and create electrical, pneumatic, and fluid system layouts to meet project requirements.
- Programming & Development: Write, debug, and optimize PLC programs, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. Create intuitive and efficient HMIs for streamlined operations.
- Testing & Implementation: Conduct thorough system testing to validate functionality and collaborate with end users to optimize performance.
- Project Management: Oversee system enhancements, assess new automation solutions, and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality automation solutions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Control Systems, Automation, or a related field (equivalent experience considered).
- Experience: 5+ years in industrial automation and controls engineering.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 Logix Designer and similar platforms.
- Experience developing and integrating HMIs using platforms such as Wonderware, Ignition, RedLion/Crimson, or Omron.
- Knowledge of Python, Java, or C/C++ for SCADA and DCS applications.
- Familiarity with SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL for database integration and analytics.
- Experience with cloud-based platforms and Industrial IoT protocols (MQTT, Sparkplug B, etc.).
- Strong background in control system integration, from project planning to commissioning.
- Adherence to IEC 61131-3 programming standards.
- Proficiency in Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 Logix Designer and similar platforms.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Prior experience in oil and gas, manufacturing, or energy industries is preferred.
