About You:

Reporting to the Manager, Automation, you will collaborate with the QA group and software development team to automate testing of Propel and all brand web sites and mobile applications.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for automated testing of Propel's websites and applications to the prescribed architecture and doing this work in accordance with Propel's project management and software development methodology
- Identify system deficiencies
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and other team members to define and agree on automation test scope, strategy, and production simulation
- Run Regression for each release and analyse the results.
- Help to establish and adhere to coding and development standards and practices including:
- Implement automated functional and integration tests
- Version and release management
- System patching
- Deficiency and bug tracking/management
- Appropriate system documentation
- Adapt to and learn new technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in software development or quality assurance development, including designing, creating and implementing automated test suites across a range of highly connected products
- Solid proficiency in automated testing using a variety of techniques
- Hands-on experience on automating test cases using JAVA and developing effective, reusable and maintainable automated test scripts to achieve maximum code coverage in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Proficient in Web automation using Selenium WebDriver and TestNG
- Familiarity with defect tracking systems like JIRA
- Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, quick learner
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills
- Understanding of continuous integration concepts, tools (e.g. Jenkins), and best practices
- Experience with Git for source code management in a collaborative development environment
- Thorough understanding of application development methodologies including Agile; Develops using software engineering best practices for all SDLC activities, such as analysis, design, coding, testing, version control
