Job Description
As a Supplier Technical Assistance Engineer you will represent Client at supplier manufacturing facilities, travelling up to 80% of the time. You will take a leadership role inside client and with our suppliers regarding product launch and current model quality and capacity. You will be empowered to make quality decisions on behalf of Clientand authorize legal documents such as the Part Submission Warrant.
Skills Required:
Candidates must possess the following skills: - Strong analytical problem solving skills. - Strong knowledge of AIAG APQP and PPAP processes. - Strong Manufacturing Background, Program management and basic computer skills. Quality Systems knowledge/experience. - High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse people, leadership and cross-functional teams. - Effective oral and written communication skills.
Skills Preferred:
Preferred problem solving skills such as Green Belt / Black Belt, Red X, etc
Experience Required:
Minimum 5+ years experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Systems/Processes (ex. IATF), Continous Improvement, or Lean in a manufacturing environment.
Experience Preferred:
Preferred manufacturing processes include: Molding, Coating/Painting, Assembly, etc Preferred commodity experience includes any one of the following: Exterior Lighting (ex. Headlamps, Taillamps), Mechanisms (ex. Latches), Glass (ex. Windshield), Moon Roofs, etc
Education Required:
Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering (ME, EE, ChE, IE).
Education Preferred:
Professional Certifications (ex. CQE, CQM, etc) preferred
Additional Information:
HYBRID: Monday and Friday - WFH. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - Onsite at PDC. Travelling days are counted as work onsite days.
