Sr. Automation Manufacturing Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Automation Manufacturing Engineer to lead our automation initiatives in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in manufacturing processes and CAD software to optimize production efficiency and enhance product quality. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and improve automation solutions that drive innovation in our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of automation solutions in manufacturing processes.
• Utilize CAD software to create detailed engineering designs and layouts for automation systems.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify areas for process improvement and automation opportunities.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new automation projects.
• Manage and oversee automation projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving automation-related issues in production.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in automation processes.
• Develop and maintain documentation for automation systems, including specifications, programming, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in manufacturing processes and CAD software.
• Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
• Familiarity with robotics, electrical engineering, and controls engineering.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience in troubleshooting automation systems.
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing principles.
• Project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Salary: $85,000 - $115,000
