Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of automation solutions in manufacturing processes.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed engineering designs and layouts for automation systems.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify areas for process improvement and automation opportunities.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new automation projects.
- Manage and oversee automation projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving automation-related issues in production.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in automation processes.
- Develop and maintain documentation for automation systems, including specifications, programming, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in manufacturing processes and CAD software.
- Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
- Familiarity with robotics, electrical engineering, and controls engineering.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience in troubleshooting automation systems.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing principles.
- Project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
