As an Automation Manager, you will be responsible for implementing designed automation solutions across a wide array of industries and maintaining control systems to ensure the efficient and safe operation of industrial processes. This role involves working with various cross-functional teams to configure control systems improving process performance, reliability, and safety.
The Automation Manager is responsible for working with clients and vendors to implement project tasks with the established scope of work in alignment with project goals and objectives. This role requires industrial specific technical knowledge and programming best practices. As a manager, they must have the ability to collaborate with a team that will implement and maintain process controls in a safe, reliable, and economical operation.

Responsibilities:
- Oversees engineering staff and ensures that they meet goals and objectives.
- Perform managerial duties including resource time and expense approval, resource scheduling, resource task assignment and management.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Provides training and mentoring as needed.
- Perform project related engineering services including project management, project estimation, control system design & programming, system and functional documentation, as well as startup and commissioning.
- Perform programming on both PLC and DCS based platforms
- Provide technical and maintenance support to existing control system platforms at Company client facilities.
- Travel to client facilities for technical sales support, project review and implementation as required
- Performs other related duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 7+ years of hands-on experience
- Experience in the coordination and implementation of DCS / PLC upgrades and/or new installation/startup
- Must have project management and leadership experience.
- Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
- Previous managerial experience is preferred.
- Ability to be a learning or training resource.
- Demonstrated ability to perform job duties with minimal oversight and direction.
