Automotive Controller

Description

The Controller will report directly to the Regional Controller & CFO. They will be an integral member of the Accounting and Financial Reporting team. This highly motivated individual will be responsible for managing the Exton accounting office team, end-of-the-month close procedures for 3 Dealership rooftops, accurate financial reporting to the Manufacturers and aiding with annual forecast preparation presented to the Board of Directors.

This position will be full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.

What You'll Do:

• Train, coordinate, and supervise the accounting staff.
• Serve as a mentor to office staff and enhance job efficiency.
• Review the general ledger and all scheduled accounts.
• Assist with floorplan audits.
• Coordinate the month-end process, prepare adjusting entries, and ensure timely completion of financial statements.
• Review, analyze, and submit monthly financial statements in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Meet monthly with the General Manager to discuss financial performance.
• Coordinate the annual audit with outside auditors.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive job experience in accounting, audit experiences preferred. Public Accounting experience is a plus.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel/Office products. CDK experience is preferred.
• Detail oriented and active learner.
• Strong organizational skills- effective in prioritizing work and following through commitments, while meeting required goals and deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills-excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as an ability to work effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills-ability to develop alternatives and solutions.
• Positive attitude and a high level of enthusiasm and energy.
• Self-starter and highly motivated.
