Job Overview:
Our Advisor Business Line Strategy group is dedicated to developing and enhancing business models that support independent financial advisors. Within the group, the Assistant Vice President will spearhead strategic initiatives for LPL's 1099 supported models business line.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading business recommendations and projects within the wealth management industry. They will excel in addressing key challenges faced by independent advisors and driving business growth through developing scalable programs and offers. This role involves assisting in the evolution of features, functionality, pricing, and capabilities for the 1099 supported models business line. The candidate should have strong business acumen and be flexible, capable of stepping into various responsibilities as the team explores, builds, and evolves a variety of opportunities for the business line.

Pay Range:
$110,775-$184,625/year
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. Responsibilities:
Program Leadership:
- Lead major change initiatives for the 1099 supported models business line, focusing on profitability and growth, while considering opportunities to evolve the offer.
- Quickly learn from advisors, partners, and prospect feedback, applying an entrepreneurial mindset to iterate programs and offers.
Operational Development:
- Develop operational processes and procedures to support the 1099 supported models business line.
- Partner with the corporate finance department to ensure recommendations align with financial objectives.
Market and Data Analysis:
- Effectively use data, client feedback, and competitive intelligence to create compelling stories that secure cross-functional executive buy-in.
- Work with the broader reporting team to bridge reporting gaps and deliver business-specific insights.
Collaboration and Relationship Building:
- Develop strong relationships and influence internal teams to support and assist with projects, strategizing and creating innovative solutions to refine and scale the 1099-supported models offer.
Subject Matter Expertise:
- Maintain expert awareness of different 1099 supported models, serving as a subject matter expert for operational, consulting, business solutions, customer care, transition, sales, and support teams.
What are we looking for?

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in the independent wealth management industry, with knowledge across wirehouses, supported independence platforms, independent broker/dealers, and RIA custodians.
- Understanding of unique business needs for independent advisors and the value of support services (consulting, transition, outsourcing, compliance).
- Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and business leaders to design and implement strategies.
- Strong business acumen, balancing offer appeal, advisor experience, and long-term product viability.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce.
