The Position

Responsibilities
  • Build and Leverage Strategic Relationships
    • Proactively establish productive relationships with relationship managers at key intermediary platforms, Natixis wholesalers and key account owners, other departments within Harris, and other industry professionals.
    • Work closely with Harris Client Portfolio Managers to learn key intermediary relationships and product placement opportunities.
    • Participate in industry groups, trainings, conferences and network with peers in the industry to develop beneficial working relationships for knowledge sharing.
  • Own Business Intelligence and Business Opportunities
      • Become an expert in our key intermediary relationships, platforms, and channels.
      • Develop a deep understanding of products, with intricate knowledge of retail mutual fund, ETF and SMA products.
      • Understand and leverage large data sets for business intelligence and business growth responsibilities.
      • Manage the packaged product pipeline of opportunities in the various intermediary channels.
      • Work closely with the Product team to understand our various investment products in addition to competitor analysis relative to key intermediary platforms.
      • Evaluate product placement on intermediary platforms with goals of identifying opportunities and removing any barriers for sales.
      • Research impact and opportunities for recommended status and model placement of our investment products.
      • Perform modeling and analytics as needed with large data sets to then summarize and present business opportunity recommendations.


Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the investment management or financial services industry.
  • Experience in a national accounts, key accounts or client portfolio manager role.
  • Self-starter with the ability to assess, explain, and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to embrace and take ownership of projects.
  • Detail-oriented with high degree of accuracy and timely follow-through.
  • Natural interest in sales and the financial markets.
  • An exceptionally high degree of initiative and adaptability, and the ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills, while remaining flexible toward unexpected changes.
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication.
  • Comfortable presenting to and communicating across levels of an organization, including the capability to adjust communication style and delivery appropriately for different internal and external audiences.
