Advertised Job Summary

The University of South Carolina Brand Collaborative Division is seeking an Associate Vice President, Integrated Outreach who will be responsible for leading and coordinating comprehensive brand communication strategies to enhance the university's reputation, visibility, and engagement. This role involves overseeing internal and external brand communications, media relations, digital marketing, and brand initiatives. This executive will work with various stakeholders, including senior leadership, faculty, and unit heads to develop messaging that aligns with the university's brand platform.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience

Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and at least 12 years of job related experience, including some prior management experience. Typically reports to a VP.

Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials

Preferred Qualifications

An undergraduate degree in marketing, communications or related field is required. An MBA is preferred.

The successful candidate must possess outstanding leadership, interpersonal and communications skills. The candidate must be a high-energy, hands-on individual with strength of convictions - a self-confident leader who, in part due to his/her personal presence, style and demeanor, effectively sells ideas and solutions to others. This person is by nature a risk-taker and has a high level of ambition. Of equal importance, this person must have unquestioned integrity.

Demonstrated knowledge working in a decentralized environment with multiple stakeholders.
Solid grasp of how data analytics and insights drive performance metrics.
