Description:
SUMMARY: The Assistant Vice President, Vendor Solutions will establish, maintain and manage vendor partner relationships, as well as other key vendors in the marketplace. Understand how to evaluate claim data for analysis, reporting and cost containment opportunities to help provide consultation to captive members and broker partners, educating on market trends, partnerships, and demonstrated cost containment programs. Contribute to intellectual capital and thought leadership via webinars, blog posts, podcasts, and speaker roles at workshops.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree or equivalency in related discipline and at least seven (7) years of experience in the health and group benefits insurance, client service or consulting industry is preferred.

- Ability to consult on member companies of different size, industry, and geography
- Strong knowledge of health care trends, underwriting, self-funding, narrow networks, and general cost containment strategies
- Familiarity with stop loss and captives
- Ability to draw conclusions when evaluating claim and utilization data, and cost trends
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Stay abreast of healthcare market trends and intelligence, including but not limited to wellness and cost containment practices and trends, medical and pharmacy coverage options and trends in the marketplace, awareness of Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) and Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) in market as well as point solution vendors
- Manage vetting TPAs, PBMs, and point solutions across spectrum of cost containment programs
- Oversee Analyst coordination of data to generate TPA and PBM proposals, managing subsequent questions from broker partners and sales teams
- Assist in managing vendor relationships, in conjunction with broader Vendor Solutions team
- Present on internal and external webinars
- Assist in developing marketing materials for various partnerships
- Present internal and external trainings and webinars
- Contribute to thought leadership blog posts and podcasts, in conjunction with VP
- Assist in managing contracting process for vendor partnerships
- Leverage data analytics to drive vendor vetting strategy
