Description:

Overall responsibility to support the insurance agent database and the growth of annuity premium through solid relationships with the agent and the carrier. This will be accomplished through superior service, customer satisfaction and at all times serving as an ambassador of ECA Marketing and its corporate parent, NFP.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide detailed product and carrier information to the individual agent or agent groups.
  • Educate agents on how the benefits of adding annuities to their available product line.
  • Maintain a follow up system and drip product campaign related to new carriers, products and sales ideas.
  • Act as a communication liaison between the ECA's offices, annuity carriers and the agents.
  • Develop and design annuity marketing materials through ECA's communications department.
  • Create and provide agents with annuity product illustrations.
  • Promote contracting and new business initiatives.
  • Research, resolve and/or report pending annuity contract issues and status to the respective agent.
  • Promote carrier and ECA sponsored events.
  • Manage overflow agent calls as part of the annuity sales team.


  • Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writing.
  • Highly organized.
  • Ability to sell over the phone.
  • Demonstrate high level of teamwork abilities; including both leadership and following direction.
  • Knowledge of product design and suitability regarding fixed annuities, including indexed annuities.
  • Successful track record working with outside organizations to achieve and exceed their sales goals.
  • Consistently identifies new sources of business.
  • Develops sales strategies, techniques and tactics based on customer feedback and market environment.
  • Can create, implement and follow through on a marketing plan.
  • Manage priorities with minimal guidance
  • Capable of building and maintaining relationships.
  • Capable negotiator. Clearly communicates goals, interests, and positions during discussions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft programs; including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • College degree or equivalent of five (5) years industry experience.
  • Salary commensurate with education and proven knowledge and experience.
  • Possible bonus/commission based on increased production.
