Applied Computing Technologies (ACT) is seeking a talented, full-time Cloud Engineer with experience designing and implementing solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This role requires hands-on implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions to meet the complex requirements of a Federal Government customer. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cloud technologies, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure as part of a multi-cloud environment strategy. This role involves working closely with other engineers within a team environment to manage, support, and optimize the customer's cloud infrastructure.

Applied Computing Technologies (ACT) is seeking a talented, full-time Cloud Engineer with experience designing and implementing solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This role requires hands-on implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions to meet the complex requirements of a Federal Government customer. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cloud technologies, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure as part of a multi-cloud environment strategy. This role involves working closely with other engineers within a team environment to manage, support, and optimize the customer's cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, storage accounts and networking.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Azure environment to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance (to meet Federal Government standards such as NIST, DoD STIG, DHS 4300, etc.).
- Provide support for cloud migration projects by helping to plan and execute the migration of on-premise workloads to Azure.
- Participant in the development and maintenance of documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), diagrams, technical guides, and after-action reports.
- Stay current with the latest Azure technologies, updates and trends, and share knowledge with the team.
Qualifications:
- Three years work experience in Azure
- Must have a Top Secret Clearance
- Solid Understanding of Azure cloud services
- Experience using Terraform/Infrastructure as Code (IAC) solution is a must
- Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Azure CLI
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator Associate, or similar are a plus
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Ability to consult with customers to assist in the extraction of technical requirements from business objectives
- Experience with other IAC (Ansible, Kubernetes, Puppet, Azure Resource Manager, etc.) technologies/tools is a plus but not required
- Experience with Azure VMware Solution is plus but not required
