Job Summary:

We are seeking a visionary Lead Data Architect who is passionate about driving innovation and building scalable, data-driven solutions. This individual will play a critical role in bridging business strategy with technical execution-designing robust architectures that power operations, analytics, and engineering across the enterprise.

As a strategic advisor and hands-on leader, you will shape and implement data standards, influence organizational roadmaps, evaluate top-tier technologies, and mentor emerging talent. You will be a key contributor to our evolving data landscape, ensuring transparency, governance, and excellence in execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Strategy
  • Collaborate on multi-year data architecture strategies and roadmaps.
  • Design and maintain business and technical capability models.
  • Develop target and reference architectures for enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Evaluate industry trends, recommend emerging technologies, and document architecture consistently.
Consulting & Guidance
  • Align recommendations with business units and organizational data strategies.
  • Provide expert consulting to development and infrastructure teams.
  • Present technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Leadership
  • Lead data architecture projects with a clear vision for change management.
  • Build strong relationships across business and technical groups.
  • Inspire engagement with enterprise-wide data strategies.
Patterns & Standards Development
  • Identify and address gaps in data design patterns and development standards.
  • Research, develop, and promote modern data design principles.
  • Evaluate tools/technologies through proof-of-concept analysis.
  • Contribute to an enterprise catalog of data patterns and standards.
Governance & Compliance
  • Participate in architecture review boards.
  • Ensure standardization of tools, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Advocate for data governance, security, and compliance.
Community Building
  • Actively engage in architectural forums and documentation initiatives.
  • Mentor junior architects and data engineers.
  • Build a collaborative community of practice across domains.
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in data engineering or related fields.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience across multiple data domains (e.g., data engineering, BI, AI, data security, etc.).
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud-based data environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Expertise in enterprise data platforms like Teradata, Oracle, or Snowflake.
  • Proven experience with data integration tools (Informatica, Kafka, Talend, SSIS, etc.).
  • Hands-on skills in scripting languages (Python, Bash, JavaScript, PowerShell, etc.).
  • Knowledge of virtualization and hyper-converged infrastructure (VMWare, Nutanix).
  • Strong skills in BI and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience working with third-party data services.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience with analytics and predictive modeling solutions.
  • 3+ years working with Agile methodologies.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Data Architect.
  • Certified in Azure or AWS architecture.
  • Background in financial services or insurance industry.
  • Practical exposure to Artificial Intelligence and data science workflows.
