Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Data Engineer to lead the improvement of our Investment Reporting System.

This role involves providing technical leadership, ensuring adherence to best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, cloud-native solutions using Azure services.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Azure technologies, ETL pipeline development, and DevOps practices, coupled with excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide and mentor the engineering team to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to standards.
  • Collaborate with the Solution Architect to translate architectural designs into detailed engineering tasks.
  • Act as a problem solver and technical mentor for team members.
  • Design and implement solutions using Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions, Event Grid, and Service Bus.
  • Lead the development of ETL pipelines, cloud-native architectures, and database migrations through hands-on coding.
  • Implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
  • Participate in backlog refinement to ensure epics, stories, and tasks are well-defined and prioritized.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Development Team to break down epics into manageable tasks.
  • Ensure all technical requirements are accurately captured and reflected in Jira.


Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Lead Engineer or in a similar role with a strong technical background.
  • Expertise in Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Event Grid, and Service Bus.
  • Strong experience in developing ETL pipelines, cloud-native architectures, and performing database migrations.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Node.js.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to inspire and guide a diverse team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach to challenges.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Salesforce integration and caching mechanisms.


Education: Bachelors Degree
