Must-Have:
- Experience in general surgery, orthopedic, and neurosurgery
- Basic general OR knowledge of more than one year
- For CVOR, at least two years of experience with adult open heart cases, open and endovascular surgeries including Triple A surgery. Must be willing to work in Cath lab cases such as TAVR.
Job Description:
- Meditech experience required, with a willingness to be on-call when necessary.
- Collaborate with staff and adapt to the department's work style, understanding that every place operates differently.
- Flexibility to work in different types of OR rooms with varied cases.
- Possibility to take on extra hours if needed (flexibility is a plus, though not mandatory).
- Occasionally assist in mentoring new graduates or nurses.
- Engage in general and specialized surgical procedures such as X-lif, A-lif, decompression, ACDF, craniotomy, robotic surgery (thoracic, general, gyn, and urology), orthopedic trauma, total joints, CABG, valves, aorta surgeries, TAVR, TCAR, TEVAR, EVAR, and open vascular cases.
- Embrace working with diverse OR equipment including microscopes, robotic systems (Divinci Xi, Mako), laparoscopic Stryker tower, and endovascular equipment.
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 in a unit with 11 operating rooms and approximately 40 shifting staff.
- Exhibit flexibility for weekend shifts and varying weekday shift lengths (8, 10, or 12 hours) based on unit needs.
- Dress in provided light blue scrubs adhering to the unit's dress code.
