JOB PURPOSE:
Nikon Metrology is seeking a Business Development Manager responsible for customer inspection services projects from initial response through proposal and after project follow up throughout assigned territory.
LOCATION:
Brighton Michigan HQ
*25% Domestic and International Travel Required

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Will include, but not limited to the following:
- Develop targeted campaigns to reach existing and new customers in defined territory.
- Full owner of revenue growth in defined territory.
- Outbound strategic prospecting activities including sales meetings, phone calls, emails, & social media.
- Effectively communicate technical information to prospects across multiple industries.
- Provide forecasting for the territory as well as identify resources needed to maintain or gain customers.
- Voice of customer communications - ensure team knows what to deliver.
- Work with Nikon Metrology prospects and customers to evaluate their applications & projects.
- Propose scanning solutions to meet customer's needs.
- Respond to all inquiries and customer request in a timely manner.
- Become immersed in digital X-ray and CT technology use, trends and applications.
- Educate customers & prospects in person and via web and in person meetings about X-ray and CT scanning technology.
- Manage and input accurate CRM data in a timely manner.
- Professionally represent Nikon at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- General knowledge of manufacturing processes including but not limited to aerospace, electronics, automotive, medical device, and additive manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of industrial x-ray & CT imaging systems and components, or other equivalent technical experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate with Nikon Metrology employees, customers and members of management in a professional manner.
- Ability and to handle and safeguard sensitive internal and external information.
- Ability to provide technical solutions to customers with a high degree of professionalism.
- Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Strong computer skills.
- Self-motivated and well organized.
Education and Experience:
- A two-year technical degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
- Three years' experience in technical or industrial sales.
Certificates, License, Registrations:
- Valid driver's license and ability to be insured.
- US Person, Green Card holder or equivalent.
- Valid passport and ability to travel outside of the United States.
Desirable:
- Previous industrial X-ray / CT experience.
- Previous entrepreneurial experience.
- Aerospace industry experience.
- Basic understanding of financial and accounting principles.

- Ability to review data and identify trends and draw conclusions.
- Ability to communicate effectively as an individual and within a team.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to travel on short notice.
- 25% domestic and international travel required.
- Occasional weekend and evening work, as needed.
