Office Location: Educational Services Center, 455 Boot Road in Downingtown, PA
Service Location: Schools across Chester County and surrounding Counties when needed

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7.5 hr/day, 260 days/year

Summary of Position:

The incumbent will provide high quality services in the areas of functional behavioral assessment, positive behavior support plan development, consultation, and staff training. The Behavior Analyst will develop behavioral practices for students, and collect and analyze schoolwide, classroom-based and individualized student data. The Behavior Analyst will provide direct supervision to staff working toward his/her certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst as well as on-going supervision for Registered Behavior Technicians.

The CCIU has opportunities for BCBAs across a variety of potential positions. Currently the needs include 1) support of Early Intervention services through conducting FBAs, developing PBSPs, and providing consultation to itinerant teachers in day care settings across the county, 2) working in a school district conducting FBAs, designing PBSPs, and consulting with teachers, and/or 3) conducting specialized assessments for students with anxiety disorders including selective mutism and tic disorders.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience
  • Master's Degree required
  • BCBA Required
  • Minimum of three years of post BCBA certification experience required

  • Dimensions and Organizational Relationships of the Position:
  • Directly reports to the Coordinator of Advanced Clinical Services.
  • Communicates directly with school districts related to their students.
  • Effectively communicates/collaborates with administration, and teaching staff regarding students' behaviors of concern.

  • Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) for individual students. Prepare comprehensive reports on the FBA.
  • Develop Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP) for individual students utilizing evidence-based interventions. Write programs for students to assist in teaching skill deficits, maintaining acquired skills, teaching self-help skills and developing social skills.
  • Train staff on FBAs and PBSPs and systematically evaluate the consistent implementation of PBSPs through personal observation, staff consultation, and review of progress monitoring.
  • Develop and implement data collection systems to monitor student progress. Assist in the preparation and analysis of on-going progress monitoring data.
  • Provide on-going consultation and support on a student, classroom, and school-wide basis as requested.
  • Participate in IEP team meetings to discuss FBAs, PBSPs, and student progress.
  • Provide professional development to professional and non-professional staff in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and other evidence-based methodologies as requested.
  • Provide supervision and support to staff completing internships/practicums in applied behavior analysis. Maintain the necessary records to ensure compliance with national credentialing standards.
  • Provide supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT). Maintain record of supervision to meet credentialing standards.

    Project, Level 15, Exempt
    $72,801 - $91,002 annually, based upon experience
