This position supports the newly formed Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Urgent Care Team. The team will focus on urgent admissions, stabilization, and follow-up on referrals for the Addiction Medicine Clinic (AMC). This position may also have a case load of individuals in Office Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT).
AMC provides MAT, primarily to those with opioid use disorders who are prescribed buprenorphine. Many of the individuals served have co-occurring disorders. The Senior Clinician role includes service planning, assessments, and care coordination services. This position is part of a multi-disciplinary, team-based model including medical and behavioral health staff working closely together to support clients. Shared responsibilities include conducting urine drug screens and breathalyzers, review of Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) reports, communication with the pharmacy, answering phone calls to the clinic, and assisting individuals onsite.
This position will have a condensed work week on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (12-hour shifts) with 4 hours of telework during the remainder of the week. AMC is based at the Sharon Bulova Center for Community Health.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited college with a master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or nursing; plus two years of clinical experience.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Possession of a current license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia in one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist.

- Performs complex evaluations and makes independent diagnoses using Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders;
