What Will You Do?

Service Management
  • Provide warm, humble and knowledgeable service throughout the property
  • Be an active participant in all outlets of during service as needed
  • Liaise with hotel, restaurant, and banquet operations teams to ensure a seamless guest experience
  • Oversee cleanliness of staff and physical bar areas across all outlets
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings with staff and review all information pertinent to the day's business.
  • Participate in the preparation of weekly schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines and labor forecasts and adjust schedules throughout the week to meet the business demands.
  • Maintain current and accurate knowledge of the menu offerings.


Development of Beverage Program
  • Forecast and execute beverage orders while creating appropriate training materials and information for new items/rollout
  • Plan meetings with vendors to keep the program current and evolving
  • Streamline the efficiency of all bar layouts including well set-up and back bars
  • Responsible for keeping Spirit, Beer, Wine & N/A menus current and priced appropriately
  • Develop managers & bartenders for delegation and oversight as appropriate


Inventory Control
  • Assess and correct any potential inconsistency or issues relating to inventory
  • Oversee communication of 86'd and low inventory items and determine "pivots"
  • Oversee and schedule inventory process for NA Bev, beer, wine, and liquor
  • Oversee all invoicing is timely and accurate
  • Responsible for ensuring inventory levels meet the needs of the business
  • Set standards for beverage storage and back bar organization


Monitor Purchasing / Sourcing
  • Manage spending in comparison to budget/forecast under Dir. Food & Bev.
  • Place beverage orders as necessary
  • Oversee the coordination of incoming product with staff/managers
  • Oversee beverage purchasing and report to Dir. F&B on spending


Quality Control
  • Ensure proper par levels and quality control of juices, syrups, garnishes
  • Oversee the preparation of all things beverage and ensure quality of product served
  • Ensure accuracy of batched recipes and cocktail recipe resources


Training
  • Develop education procedures & documents for beer, wine, N/A, spirits and cocktails, including reeducation of current staff as needed
  • Work alongside management team to spot check recipes; pour measurements, efficiency, hospitality, speed and cleanliness of all bar & beverage areas
  • Inform and develop weekly and ongoing spirit, wine, etc. education for staff with GM
  • Serve as a mentor for all bar staff & FOH staff overall; meet annually with staff and help them develop the skills to move up


Additional Responsibilities:
  • Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • A 5-day work week is expected with both administrative and on-the-floor shifts (subject to change for holidays, special events, or pop-ups)
  • Coordinate schedules with Dir. of Food & Beverage to ensure floor-wide manager presence
  • Attend Weekly meetings with Ownership, Directors, Managers & other depts.
  • Lead trainings with service staff
  • Support and adhere to scheduled staff trainings and hotel meetings as communicated by Director of F&B
  • Oversee and execute procedures for inventory/stocking/purchasing/equipment maintenance (as related to the bar)


What You Bring:
  • 2 years of management experience
  • 2 years of beverage director experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Skilled in leading and developing teams
  • Experienced with inventory and BOH systems
  • Knowledge of safety initiatives in compliance with OSHA guidelines
  • Education in hospitality management, culinary arts, business administration or similar required
  • If applicable, must meet required minimum age to serve alcohol
