Job Description
Job Title: Administrative Nurse Coordinator

Job Specialty: Nursing Administration

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Night - 8x5 - 12AM to 8AM

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in nursing leadership in an acute care setting

License: Current RN License

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Must-Have:
- Minimum of two years' experience in a leadership role, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Critical thinking skills
- Excellent computer skills in Excel and Word
- Understanding of quality improvement models, methods for CQI, and Root Cause Analysis

Job Description:

- Coordinate the delivery of nursing services during evening and night shifts.
- Ensure adherence to defined standards of nursing practice and patient care.
- Utilize management theory, labor relations, and hospital policies effectively.
- Independently apply communication, interpersonal, interviewing, and problem-solving skills.
- Promote career development among employees.
- Communicate important organizational information promptly.
- Support nursing staff in actively utilizing research and evidence-based practices to drive change and improve quality.
- Contribute to the professional development of colleagues, students, and nursing staff.
- Monitor operations and management of units in collaboration with the Director.
- Address staffing needs for current and upcoming shifts.
- Attend, assess, and monitor hospital codes and ensure adequate resources.
- Resolve complaints, incidents, and problems using established procedures.
- Foster positive relationships with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Report and follow up on patient safety issues.
- Develop and monitor customer service improvement goals focusing on patient satisfaction.
- Maintain standards and meet regulatory requirements, including NYSDOH and JCAHO.
- Participate in educational programs and activities to stay updated with skills and knowledge.
