Job Summary

Zone 1: $160,000 - $190,000
This job is also eligible for participation in an Incentive Plan with a target payout based on eligible compensation and corporate/individual performance goal attainment.
Annual Incentive Opportunity: 10% of eligible compensation

Job Summary
The BI Data Architect is responsible for the design and maintenance of the BI information systems and reporting framework for data analytics.
Primary Objectives
- Address current and future needs of data design and content applicable to integration, structure, and reporting.
- Determine methodology for data integration involving all internal and external systems and applications.
- Identify and design appropriate data structure incorporating metadata elements necessary to support required outcomes and ensure system flexibility and scalability.
- Design semantic layer to optimize end user reporting creation.
- Design and create Business Intelligence reporting architecture framework for ad hoc reporting and data analytics.
- Determine the optimal approach for obtaining data from diverse source platforms and moving it to BI.
- Develop methodologies and processes for transformation of raw transaction data into a consistent and coherent set of information that is suitable for BI users.
- Enable data support for client Key Performance Indicators and metrics reporting.
- Continuously review and incorporate relevant emerging BI technologies to support reporting, ad hoc query, data mining and data virtualization tools.
- Create and extend BI components such as artifacts in the Enterprise Data Warehouse, Power BI semantic models, et al.
- Design and implement business intelligence dashboard and performance scorecards using Power BI.
- Perform data integration, data cleansing, creation of data dimensions and business rules that conform to architectural requirements.
- Resolve semantic discrepancies in data definitions that arise among multiple sources and projects.
- Develop ETL processes in technologies in use by the company (e.g. Keboola, Azure Data Factory, etc.).
- Maintain reporting server and security access.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science or similar field or equivalent combination or coursework and related experience required
- 10+ years' hands on experience in data warehouse technical development including data architecture, data integration, business intelligence and data analysis tools required
- In-depth understanding of data integration best practices, leading industry applications and features such as data management, entity resolution, data quality assessment, metadata management.
- Strong technical skills in the BI platform including SQL Databases (SQL Server, Snowflake), Power BI (DAX, UX, paginated reports).
- Strong understanding of ETL infrastructure including servers, databases and data connections.
- Demonstrated skills in designing KPI, Measure, Dimension, Hierarchy, dashboards and scorecards.
- Understanding of Kimball Lifecycle Methodology for Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions.
- Expertise in hands-on SQL development.
- Strong knowledge of RDBMS (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server) with performance optimization skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of data security management and data virtualization.
- Ability to effectively communicate with business users and analysts and translate analyzed data into business language.
- Ability to identify complex problems and use logic and reasoning to review related information to develop and evaluate options, conclusions, and implement solutions.
- Understanding and exposure to other tools such as SAP Business Objects is preferred.
