What's the position?
As Sportsbook BI Team Lead, you will lead the charge in developing analytical insights about our sports betting business. You'll be the detective in our data, the storyteller of our statistics, and the architect of our analytical advantage. Your mission is to transform raw information into strategic gold, helping us stay ahead in the fast-paced world of sports betting. You will deliver clear and compelling narratives that emerge from complex data sets.
The other important part of this role is the mentorship and training of a team of analysts who are doing the same kind of proactive, curious insights work. You will come in as a senior member of the team, with a charge to show the group "what good looks like." This spans across all parts of the process - from manipulating the data, to summarizing and presenting it, to interacting with business stakeholders to communicate your findings.

What are we looking for?
- Deep knowledge and interest in US sports, and in sports betting
- Professional experience working in Business Intelligence, Data Science, Data Engineering, or a similar field
- Strong technical skills and experience using applications like SQL, Excel, Tableau, and PowerBI to generate reporting and dashboards
- An advanced understanding of probability and statistics
- A desire to teach and mentor
- A proactive ownership mindset
- Insatiable curiosity about data and sports, and a knack for asking the right questions
- Someone who sees the things that other people miss
