We are supporting a mission-driven healthcare organization that is seeking a Director of Bids & Proposals to lead its government and commercial proposal efforts. The organization partners with Medicare/Medicaid-funded facilities and state/federal agencies, and also supports commercial clients in improving care delivery and regulatory performance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end proposal process for both government (federal/state) and commercial contracts
- Build out scalable proposal templates, processes, and content libraries
- Drive proposal strategy, coordinate with internal stakeholders, and ensure high-quality, compliant submissions
- Collaborate with finance to support pricing strategy, especially on federal bids
- Partner with Marcom to enhance the visual and narrative quality of proposals
- Lead preparations for high-priority RFPs, including upcoming state EQRO opportunities
- Support the organization's GSA Schedule readiness and long-term contract strategy
- Participate in occasional pre-planned travel (e.g., client meetings or industry events)
Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing complex proposals in healthcare, across both government and commercial sectors
- Expertise in CMS, Medicaid/Medicare contracts, or EQRO/QIO-related work preferred
- Strong writing, editing, and strategic planning skills - able to lead the process end to end
- Assertive and highly organized - able to manage stakeholders, meet deadlines, and drive accountability
- Familiarity with the GSA Schedule and federal procurement landscape is a plus
