Overview Tecolote Research Inc. is seeking a Billing Specialist to work in the Corporate Accounting group located in either the Oxnard or Goleta, California locations. This position will directly support the generation of monthly project-based invoices for the company's government and prime contractor clients and will be involved in reconciliation and collection related activities. * Verification of Project set up in Deltek Costpoint Accounting System
* Setup of bid and proposal projects in Deltek Costpoint Accounting System
* Troubleshoot billing issues
* Transmit invoices through electronic payment system portals * Research and resolve accounts receivable aging/collection issues

* Knowledge in the areas of accounting principles, project accounting, FAR/DFAR, Cost Accounting Standards, WAWF and different project types is a plus
* Bachelor's degree (business, accounting, finance or related field) or 4 years experience in an accounting or contracts related role * Pay Range: $42,000 - $55,000/year, DOE Education High School Diploma Required
