About the Job:

FFE is seeking a BIM Manager to join our growing Cincinnati team. The BIM Manager will manage Building Information Modeling (BIM) related technologies, processes, support and training.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience analyzing systems and processes, developing and maintaining standards and procedures, and educating and training office personnel to enhance the efficiency of design and production staff.

Work Environment

This position is performed in an office environment and potentially at a home office (with prior authorization from the supervisor); however, the individual is also required to travel to other locations for client meetings, project site visits, conferences, training, and other business-related events, and to the project site as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, and sit; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; operate a vehicle; and talk and hear. Must be capable of lifting and moving up to 20 lbs.

What you'll be responsible for:
  • Software & Systems Management: Assist IT in managing software installations, updates, and new system implementations related to BIM, including maintaining the latest Revit versions and service packs.
  • BIM Standards & Implementation: Develop, maintain, and enforce BIM standards within the office, ensuring consistency in Revit practices, templates, material libraries, keyed notes, schedules, and modeled data for project management, specifications, and construction administration.
  • Content Development & Quality Control: Manage and/or create Revit families and libraries, ensuring appropriate file size, level of detail, and alignment with office standards. Oversee the expansion of existing Revit content and detail libraries.
  • Training & Knowledge Sharing: Establish and maintain a Revit training forum for staff to access standards and ask questions. Lead research and training on new plugins, modeling techniques, and emerging technologies. Conduct firm-wide, team, and individual training, including onboarding for new hires and ongoing education on BIM tools and office procedures.
  • BIM/VDC Templates & Resources: Create and maintain company-wide BIM/VDC seed files, templates, models, and element libraries for project teams, providing guidance on their adoption and implementation.
  • Technology & Process Improvement: Recommend budgets, software/hardware purchases, and training plans to improve BIM integration. Analyze IT system performance and suggest optimizations for BIM functionality.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work with Digital Design/Revit Leadership to refine BIM standards and templates. Oversee Revit and Bluebeam coordination meetings for project teams. Act as the primary technical resource for troubleshooting and guidance.
  • Industry Engagement & Best Practices: Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops to stay current with industry trends. With input from leadership, incorporate best practices into office standards.
  • BIM Support & Vendor Coordination: Provide firm-wide BIM support, assist committees in BIM-related initiatives, and coordinate with vendors and IT staff to enhance BIM tools and workflows.

Here's What You'll Need (Basic Qualifications)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Revit software and supporting software and plug-ins.
  • Familiarity with Revit workflow and large project coordination.
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Navisworks, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 Suite is required
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Adobe, and Avail is preferred
  • Must have a basic knowledge of construction industry drawing standards and requirements.
  • Must be able to articulate ideas well through both verbal and written communications.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, information technology, or related discipline

FFE is committed to delivering competitive and equitable pay for our employees.

This position's total compensation pay range is expected to be between $72,000 and $108,000/year, depending on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, market factors, and business needs.

If hired, the position is "at-will," the Company reserves the right to modify any component, plan, or program of the total rewards package at any time for any reason.
