Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain bioinformatics pipelines for various genomics applications.
- Develop web-based in-house database interface.
- Implement and utilize workflows for next generation sequencing (i.e., QC and analysis).
- Participate in innovation and development of analytical solutions.
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary team.
Qualifications
- BA/BSC with six (6+) years of experience or MA/MSC with four (4+) years of experience.
- Experience must be from a related field (i.e., Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Computer Science, or related discipline).
- Programming experience using relevant packages (i.e., Python, Perl, R).
- Detailed understanding of Illumina based NGS methods and tools.
- Experience troubleshooting and exploring various existing scientific analysis tools.
- HPC clusters and use of command line tools and scripting experience.
- Working knowledge of existing tools to analyze NGS data.
- Experience with relational database design and maintenance (i.e., MySQL, Postgres) is a plus.
