Corteva Agriscience has an opportunity for a Biologicals Marketing Manager located at our Indianapolis, IN campus.
As a Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for execution of marketing plans for the biologicals line within a designated Commercial Unit: Direct connect to area and district leaders and key account managers, Tailor marketing support to local sales strategy, Leads tactical implementation within the area/district, Works closely with other business lines to develop a cohesive Biologicals tactical marketing plan.

As a Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for execution of marketing plans for the biologicals line within a designated Commercial Unit: Direct connect to area and district leaders and key account managers, Tailor marketing support to local sales strategy, Leads tactical implementation within the area/district, Works closely with other business lines to develop a cohesive Biologicals tactical marketing plan.
What You'll Do:
- Works closely with other key leaders to develop a cohesive Biologicals tactical marketing plan.
- Lead biologicals category level pricing detail.
- Execution of marketing plans for a specific line(s) within designated Biological CU's.
Responsibilities:
A Day in the Life of You:
- Successful launches - participate in new concept teams; coordinate with marketing, sales, agronomy and other key stakeholders to develop & implement launch plans that include value prop communication, positioning vs competitors, highlighting strengths and weaknesses, local training, local promotions, etc
- Retail business planning - develop a thorough & consistent process to annually lead districts & territories and identify business goals for each retailer that align to the district & territory targets. Details to include a prioritization of retailer call support, sales goals, ROI metrics & goals, training needs, relationship support, and resource/contract asks. This role will lead a review of plans in the area to gain approval for contract goals and resource ask. Coordination with the retail channel leader, program administration & sales training are key connections
- District & KAM Level Positioning & Promotion - work with marketing & marcomm teams for any local positioning and promotion that is needed to target US strategies & offers.
- Licensee Focal Point - Lead the Biologicals Advocacy Team, Cross-Ties & selling strategies with the Seeds business, CP teams and seed applied technology (SAT), formulate and lead the Western Biologicals strategy for significant market share gains over the 5 year period.
- Collaboration on Cross-Sell activities -- with Pioneer, Retail licensee's and Biologicals sales teams.
- Demand Planning- monthly coordination with NA marketing leader for product category planning and actively participate in the IBP process monthly.
- Other - understanding of competitive environment and offers, ROI focused, grounded in analytics balanced with an understanding of how business works. Assist with CU-level meetings and coordination of communications.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in business, agriculture or related field.
What Skills You Need:
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
- Agriculture, seed, biologicals and seed treatment industry background preferred.
- Medium level of field travel, but can be higher during kickoff season
- Excellent communication and influence skills
- Strong business acumen with proven project management skills.
- Very strong oral and written communication, planning and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated facilitation, coordination skills.
- Must be able to work with people at all levels, including outside consultants and vendors, while influencing without formal authority.
- Must be able to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Proven knowledge of seed business processes and key systems, or ability to gain this knowledge.
