Eli Lilly and Company seeks a Biologist (R6-R9) to identify disease targets and advance portfolio projects through cellular and tissue delivery research focused on large nucleotide-based molecules. Lead scientific research projects featuring close cross-functional collaboration with peer scientific groups. Identify and execute technological solutions to drive delivery of RNA-based therapeutics. Deliver receptor-binding and internalization assays to expand siRNA internalization capabilities. Leverage principles of RNA biology to develop insights into RNAi mechanism-of-action. Present scientific data in support of drug discovery projects. #LI-DNI
Position requires a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field, and 2 years of academic or employment experience with performing biological research for therapeutic discovery projects. Academic or employment experience must include a minimum of: 2 years of experience with conducting cell culturing and cell imaging; 2 years of experience with applying bioinformatics techniques to RNA research; 1 year of experience with identifying and studying receptors for cellular delivery; and 1 year of experience with applying proteomics techniques for cell surface protein identification. Part-time telecommuting may be permitted. Up to 5% domestic travel required. #LI-DNI

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$124,550
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
