Main Street School is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. The BCBA will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing behavior intervention plans for students with significant behavioral and communication needs. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to ensure the best possible educational outcomes for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
*Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
*Provide ongoing support and training for teachers and staff on behavior management techniques and strategies.
*Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior intervention plans and make data-driven adjustments as needed.
*Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive support plans for students.
*Assist in crisis intervention and the development of proactive strategies to prevent behavioral issues.
*Communicate effectively with families, providing them with resources and guidance to support their children's behavioral development at home.
Desirable Qualities:
*Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, staff, and families.
*Strong organizational and time-management skills.
*Compassionate and patient approach to working with students with diverse needs.
*Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in the field.
Qualifications:
*Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) certification.
*Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
*Experience working in an educational setting is preferred.
*Proven track record of developing and implementing effective behavior intervention plans.
Additional Duties:
*Assist guidance, pupil services staff or building administration, as needed.
*Perform any other related duties as assigned.

*Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.
*Ability to establish a supportive and compassionate relationship with students with special needs.
*Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work.
*Ability to report work orally or in writing to supervisor as required.
*Effective writing and verbal communication skills.
Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards:
*Works in standard office and school building environments.
*Ability to work outdoors during outdoor student activities.
*Prior experience working with special needs children desirable.
