EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Regular, full time - Position will be employed by the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio (ESCCO)

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:

The BCBA will be responsible for developing and implementing Behavior Intervention Plans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Conduct initial assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Implement assessment goals, behavior plans, and ongoing monitoring of progress within each child's program.
• Interface with caregivers and other professionals communicating the rationale of behavioral intervention in general and how the program designed for a specific child is resulting in significant change.
• Traincaregivers/staff on positive behavioral strategies in the home, school, or community.
• Supervise behavior technicians and registered behavior technicians.
• Collaborate with team members.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Observe all safety and health regulations of the school district.
• Maintain an appropriate personal appearance.
• Serve as a role model for students in the practice of ethical principles, responsible behavior and democratic values.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal, Student Services Director or designee.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BCBA with current certification and state licensure
• At least 1 year experience as a Behavior Analyst providing services in the home and community environment is preferred.
• Must have a strong background in setting up language programs to facilitate the acquisition of communication skills.
• Consultants should be able to work with children with various abilities and be able to develop and supervise the implementation of programs in the clinic, home, school, and community environments.
• Motivated, excellent work ethic, high degree of quality work.
• Able to work independently and as a team member demonstrating professionalism in all settings.
• Candidates must be flexible and willing to grow and develop skills as a Behavior Analyst.
• Alternative to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Exposure to blood or other bodily fluids and tissue.
• Exposure to hazardous athletic equipment.
• Must be available for education related purposes outside the instructional day when requested to do so under reasonable terms.
• Occasional operation of a vehicle in inclement weather; that is, being prepared to come to school on all scheduled days, except calamity days.
