The University of Chicago's Department of Pathology is searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank to serve as a Breast Pathologist. Limited involvement in another field of surgical pathology or in molecular pathology can be accommodated if the candidate has the appropriate training or experience. The successful candidate will sign out on the in-house and consult breast services and will also participate on the general frozen section service. The other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Opportunities for translational research are available. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) possess an MD degree or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible to hold a medical license in the States of Illinois and Indiana, and 3) have board certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology.
