Description:
- Performing structural analysis and design for transportation structures
- Conducting load ratings for bridges, box culverts, and pipes
- Preparing engineering calculations and developing design drawings
- Reviewing drawings and reports to develop design options, repair recommendations, and cost estimates
- Conducting fieldwork, site visits and bridge inspections, and preparing inspection reports
- Confirming work is in compliance with AASHTO, MDOT SHA, and project-specific standards and requirements
- Other duties as required
- Salary: $75,000-$95,000
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural
- 3-5 years of experience and knowledge of bridge systems
- Maryland EIT if possible
- Maryland PE preferred
- Must have NBIS Bridge Inspection Team Leader Certification or be willing to obtain
- Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD code requirements
- MicroStation preferred
