Description:

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD ("The HARRIS CENTER") is looking for an insightful and driven Budget Manager to strengthen our team! Reporting to the VP of the IDD Service Division/Grants & State Contracts, you will play a pivotal role in sculpting the financial future of our Intellectual and Developmental Disability Services Division.

What you will do:

Join The Harris Center as a Budget Manager, where you will:
  • Strategize and Prepare Budgets: Develop detailed budgets in collaboration with management, guiding the financial strategy to meet the operational needs of our IDD services.
  • Lead with Analysis and Insight: Drive the preparation, review, and adjustment of financial reports and budget presentations, becoming a cornerstone for strategic decision-making within the division.
  • Facilitate Collaboration and Adaptation: Serve as a consultant to bridge departmental needs with financial strategies, managing budget adjustments and providing strategic recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Champion Special Projects and Reporting: Oversee significant projects and prepare critical financial analyses and reports, offering insights that shape the division's strategic direction.

This role is pivotal in ensuring financial stewardship, fostering cross-departmental collaboration, and enhancing our capacity to serve the community effectively. Be part of a team that values innovation, efficiency, and impact in mental health and IDD services.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Master's degree (M.A.) or equivalent.
  • Two years' experience in supervisory or administrative management. Three years' experience in Intellectual and Development Disability services.
  • Knowledge of methods for budget projections and analysis.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to analyze or identify underlying facts associated with information or data in drawing conclusions or decision making.
  • Able to explore alternatives and propose sound solutions.
  • Able to compose and produce comprehensive reports, documents, and related materials.
