Starting Salary Range: $78,000 - $95,000 a year; depending on experienceLocation: Lynnwood, WAClassification: ExemptMust be eligible to work in the U.S. - Sponsorship not available General Position Summary : Procure building automation construction projects through effective marketing, communication, and negotiation. Maintain client relationships by identifying customer needs and proposing effective solutions that generate acceptable sales revenue and profitability. Essential Job Functions :1. Develop and maintain client relationships within assigned territory. 2. Manage all aspects of the sales cycle to maximize profitability. 3. Establish sales strategies for qualified opportunities. 4. Develop and prepare proposals for new installations, retrofits, and service contract sales opportunities.5. Negotiate and close proposed work with favorable terms and conditions to ensure sales goal achievement. 6. Participate in local organizations BOMA, WAMOA, 2030 District, etc. 7. Develop scope of work for all negotiated proposals. Skills Required to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job : 1. Strong sales skillset; ability to offer effective solutions to customers' challenges.2. Know and understand the concepts of SPIN selling and Challenger Sales techniques3. Ability to learn and stay current with the latest industry technology.4. Self-directed, goal- oriented, and competitive.
Supervisory Responsibility : None Education/ Experience Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Duties of the Job :1. Mechanical engineering degree required. Experience in Building Automation, HVAC, and mechanical systems is preferred. 2. Must have solid organizational skills, strong demonstration and presentation capabilities, and demonstrate effective sales skills.3. Paid Time Off:

Eligible employees begin accruing PTO as of their date of hire and accrual rates are based on years of service. Base annual accrual starts at 120 hours/15 days for full time status. PTO is a combination of sick and vacation accruals. UMC follows the required WA State Sick Leave guidelines and employees are provided (1) for every 40 hours worked as part of the PTO package. UMC also offers (7) paid holidays, plus (1) Floating Holiday to be used within the calendar year.
